The P.L.A.C.E. Brings Together Community at PAA

Courtesy of Pueblo's Legacy and Community Experiences (P.L.A.C.E) and a host of community partners, a festive block party attracted visitors of all ages to the Pueblo Academy of Arts field for an afternoon of fellowship, free food and games, giveaways, and the performing talents of the Phoenix cheer team and the South marching band.

The Pueblo Summer Musical – the product of a long-standing partnership between District 60 and Pueblo Parks and Recreation – returns to the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center Saturday and Sunday (2 p.m.) and continuing July 15-18 (7 p.m.)

“I knew I wanted to continue my forward trajectory in my career, but I also knew it had to be the right fit,” she explained. “Pueblo, and the diversity and the uniqueness of the community – the fact that it has a true work ethic – really appealed to me. People who are really focused on working hard in order to get you where you want to go resonates with me."

Under the direction of District Wellness Coordinator Stephanie Swithers, free yoga sessions for District staff and family members will be offered every Monday through the month of July.
